Strathpine Centre Appoints Mainbrace Constructions for Major Redevelopment

After receiving DA approval, Strathpine Centre will begin a centre-wide upgrade. The upgrade will see the enhancement of retail and community opportunities, creating a superior shopping and dining amenity for the region whilst utilising local trades and suppliers to deliver the project.

The centre has appointed Mainbrace Constructions for the redevelopment. Mainbrace Queensland’s State Manager Duncan McAndrew says the focus of the redevelopment will be centred around engaging local trades and suppliers to deliver the project.

“Strathpine Centre is a vital piece of the retail infrastructure in the area and we’re expected to see approximately 50 new jobs for the community”.

The announcement comes after consideration of community and customer feedback. The development is due to be completed by late 2020 with work commencing in the new year.

Strathpine Centre Manager Chris Gibbons says the upgrade will improve the shopping and dining experience for customers.

“The addition of six new retailers to the centre will greatly improve customer convenience and experience, better servicing the everyday needs of locals,” Chris said.

The redevelopment will not only benefit customers, but the wider community. Upgrades will contribute to additional employment opportunities for locals seeking work. With the Moreton Bay Region experiencing population growth, the redevelopment of Strathpine Centre will better service those families moving into the area.
“This redevelopment will secure the long-term future of the centre and allow us to better service the community. It will improve the centre’s street presence and offer a combination of leisure, dining and shopping options to cater for the entire family,” Chris said.
