Innovation

Posted 8 December 2017

Workshops, coaching and peer mentoring are on offer as part of the 2018 Startup Moreton Bay Region program, with online applications closing soon.

The hands-on program, which will run from February to June next year, aims to equip startup-stage businesses for the first steps in their journey to viability.

It is designed and facilitated by Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship, which brings to the mix its innovative decision-making toolset and learning strategies.

These help participants formulate a one-page business plan, complete with a financial plan and marketing strategy.

The program has been run successfully for the past two years, and is funded by Advance Queensland and Regional Development Australia (RDA) Moreton Bay.

New businesses have been founded in primary production and value adding, education, web design, waste recycling, fishing, design and branding, journalism, health services, community services and engineering.

Participants in Startup Moreton Bay Region will attain a Certificate III in Microbusiness Operations (BSB30315), accredited through Edgeware’s partners Australasian Leadership Academy (RTO 41012)
