Officeworks opens its doors at North Lakes

Development

Officeworks is the latest in a line of big-name retailers to open its doors at the booming North Lakes precinct.

The North Lakes store, opened on 30 June, is the retailer’s 165th opening in Australia and will offer local residents and businesses a comprehensive range of office supplies, technology and furniture products.

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Division 4 Councillor Julie Greer welcomed the opening, which is expected to deliver a boost in economic activity and 19 new jobs for the growing North Lakes community.

“North Lakes continues to go from strength to strength, having quickly established itself as one of South East Queensland’s premier shopping destinations,” Cr Greer said.

“Officeworks is a welcome addition to our business community, not only creating new jobs for our local residents, but already throwing their support behind our young people with donations to Chameleon Youth Housing and Bounty Boulevard School as part of their official opening."

The Officeworks North Lakes team donated a total of $4,000 to the local community groups at a charitable presentation on 6 July.

The store is located at 56 Flinders Parade North Lakes, and will be open from 7am-9pm Monday to Friday, 8am-7pm on Saturday and 9am-6pm on Sunday, allowing locals to enjoy longer trading hours.
