Posted 5 July 2017

Online tendering resources are now available for businesses looking to capitalise on the opportunities arising from the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).

Not only are the Games expected to attract thousands of visitors to the state in April next year, but local operators can register on the QTenders website to help supply goods and services for the event.

All open tender and public expression of interest opportunities will be published on the Queensland Government QTenders website.

The latest tender offerings include a callout for:

  • A pharmacy dispensing system for participating athletes (closes 7 July)
  • Minor works contract for the construction of Transit Malls, PT Hubs and Park & Ride Infrastructure (closes 13 July)
  • Expressions of interest for the provision of onsite management and operations of the Park ‘n’ Ride sites, as well as a web-based booking system and contact centre (closes 21 July)
  • Vehicle decals tender (closes 26 July)

Other examples of recently awarded/closed ‘work package’ tenders include the supply of: audio visual equipment, scaffolding, call centre services, cleaning consumables, office cleaning services, clothing alternation services and uniform design, radio communications equipment, construction services, lighting (photographic and street), cabling and electrical, and more.

Register as a supplier today to receive notification when a public tender is advertised in a category relevant to your business.

In order to determine your capability and help plan your tender response, go to the Queensland Government Business Queensland website.
